I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC, License #CCMH0184971) and have been licensed in New Mexico since 2011, with a couple of additional years in internship and practicum. In this time, I have been fortunate to provide individual, group, couples, and family therapy around issues including relational conflict, anxiety, depression, gender identity, sexual orientation, substance use, grief/loss, stress, and life transitions. I received my Master’s Degree in Counselor Education as well as my Bachelor’s Degrees in Psychology and English from The University of New Mexico. I additionally completed in-depth training and supervision in Functional Family Therapy, which is comprised of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing/Motivational Enhancement Therapies, and Mindfulness-based approaches. I see clients individually from tweens/teens through adults and particularly enjoy working with couples, families, and the LGBTQ community. I was born and raised in New Mexico and have spent the majority of my life here in Albuquerque. I have always been interested in personal growth and development and for that reason I believe that much of what I can offer others comes from maintaining a constant curiosity about myself. I come to this work not as someone who claims to know everything, but instead as someone who has faced and overcome challenges as well. I utilize my knowledge and skills to support others in doing the same. My approach to therapy is one of compassion and non-judgment with the goal of helping my clients learn to approach themselves in similar ways. When I’m not working, I enjoy spending time with family, friends, and my dogs. I also love to read and have many books on my shelf patiently waiting for my time.
